Information for Funeral Organisers

A minimum of 2 business days notice prior to the service is required. 

Once the Interment Application is completed, please email it to GeevestonPublicCemetery@gmail.com

Also, please send a text message to 0417 881 838 to advise a form has been emailed so we can begin processing without delay.

Some things to note:

We are an independent community cemetery run by volunteers. It was acquired by the Geeveston Progress Association as a matter of personal interest to the Geeveston and surrounding community. We strive to be as accomodating as possible, so if you have particular needs, please approach us to discuss.

As such, the Geeveston Public Cemetery Management Committee limits itself to 


Opening and closing of the graves are the responsibility of the Funeral Organiser. 

It is the responsibility of the Funeral Organiser to  ensure that an open grave is closed as soon as practicable after the Interment and once an open grave has been closed, it is secured against unauthorised access at all times.

The lease of burial plots and ash niches will be invoiced to the Funeral Organiser, who will add it to their client’s account unless prior arrangements have been made with the client.

It will be assumed that Funeral Organisers conduct their business in accordance with the required Acts and Regulations.
